Great Britain: Amicus wants to create a transnational trade union

Amicus, the most important trade union of the private sector, currently merging with the TGWU in order to create a huge trade union with 2 million members (see story n°061182), has also signed agreements of solidarity with foreign trade unions, which pose the bases of a new transnational trade union. It has just signed agreements with IG Metall in Germany, the International Association of Machinists and United Steel Workers in the United States. (Ref. 70046)
