Great Britain: companies must contribute to their employees’ physical health

Employers must get involved in their employees' health and fight against the sedentary and couchy practices of office life, according to the national Institute of health (NICE), a public health organization linked to the NHS. (Ref. 061275)

In a document addressed to employers, the NICE explains how to favour physical exercise and a healthy food balance. For example, it is recommended to provide bicycle shelters, to encourage people to take the staircase rather than the elevator, and to supervise the menu at the cafeteria, and eventually to adopt a dietetic menu.
