As usual every year several labor law changes will come into force and this year will see shared parental leave and a rise in redundancy pay coming on-stream.
From April 05, 2015 British parents will be able to share parental leave to look after a newborn (c.f. article No. 8254). Employers will have to steel themselves as this measure opens up a whole spectrum of possibilities. Parents could decide to ‘flip-flop’ their leave periods or overlap them.
