The British government announced that it was going to take forward the recommendation made by the Low Pay Commission (LPC) as regards minimum wage. On October 1, minimum wage will rise by 12p an hour to £6.31 for adults (€7.36). For 18-to-20-year-olds, it will rise by 5p to £5.03 (€5.86). Finally, for 16 and 17-year olds, it will rise by 4p to £3.72 (€4.33) per hour. (Ref. 130526)
