The perspective of a fusion between the union groups Amicus (over a million members in the private and public manufacturing sector) and TGWU (mainly transportation) is coming closer after TGWU's managers unanimously agreed on the rally principle on Wednesday, November 22. The 800,000 subscribers now have to speak out in a referendum that should be over by the end of the year. A conference will then take place to make the consultation's outcome official.
