Great Britain: report on relations in the workplace

The Department of Trade and Industry published the results of a large study on the working relationships in the company, gathering the surveys conducted in 2004. 3000 executives, 1000 staff representatives and 22000 employees were surveyed. (Réf. 06784)

This report, called “Work Relation Employment Survey” and whose last edition was in 1998, shows a retreat of worker representation and collective wage negotiations. But it also highlights better training opportunities and less reasons for complaints. Employers are increasingly conscious of the need for a better balance between private life and professional life for their employees. Employees say there is still much progress to make.
