Great Britain: the government wants to speed up the decrease in racial unfairness in terms of employment

Before he will be able to get the same employment opportunities as a White man in the same situation, a young Black unemployed will have reached his retirement age, reveals a study made by the national statistics office. Figures presented to the government on November 9 show that, with the current progression rate, 45 years would be necessary to diminish the gap between white people and people belonging to ethnic minorities in terms of employment rates. To speed up the results, the government decided to show the job seeker's ethnic origin in unemployment figures and to give administrations more freedom to target priorities according to the regions.
