Under the government decree tabled yesterday, on 12 November, employers and employees in Hungary may reach an agreement on arrangements for remote working that diverge from the country’s labour code.
The transitional regulation is geared towards keeping business afloat, even in the event of a state of emergency due to the coronavirus. According to the government’s announcement, the experience of the first wave of the pandemic demonstrates that remote working can be effective in several domains, for the benefit of both companies and workers.
