Italy: new Peroni agreement characterized by flexibility and telework

One of “the best company agreements in the sector” is how Pietro Pellegrini, Uila-Uil national secretary, qualified the agreement.  The latter was signed in the night of April 5 between Peroni management, the Fai-Cisl, Flai-CGIL, and Uila-Uil unions, and the Unitary Trade Union Representation Bodies (RSUs) for the renewal of the company’s collective agreement, which expired on March 31, 2011.  Valid between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2014, the agreement acknowledges “the need to work with a view towards a flexible organization and an innovative effort” to maintain the brand’s position compared with foreign competitors enjoying lower production costs.
