The unions Fim, Fiom and Uilm as well as the government reasserted their opposition to this plan. The unions backed this proposal inasmuch as it would allow continuation of Nokia-siemens responsibility along the entire production chain with guarantees in terms of production development. In support of this proposal, the unions decided to continue picketing at the entrance of the plants, pursuit of their lobbying of local authorities and their demand for direct intervention by the head of the council.
