On June 6, the government recognized that negotiations on the draft Labor Code reform had failed. This is why the government has decided to override this and announced, on June 12, that it would send the Parliament draft Labor Code amendments which it believes could help reduce unemployment in the country and foster job creation, notably via more flexible industrial relations and more diversified and flexible forms of employment. “Today, the government has made relevant decisions aiming to make labor relations more flexible to drive businesses to create new jobs, to overcome one of the worst plagues: the high level of unemployment brought about by the crisis” Prime Minister A.
