Lithuania: governmental initiatives in favour of the professional integration of disabled people

The Lithuanian government is currently working on amendments to the law on social enterprises, employing a certain rate of disabled people, in order to facilitate their integration. (Ref. 061288)

On Wednesday December 13th, the Government agreed to adopt amendments to the Law on Social Enterprises. If this law is adopted, subsidies and various compensations would be given not only to the social enterprises employing disabled people withmore than 30 % disability but also to those with less disability.
