Lithuania : trade unions ask the government to lower income taxes

The Lithuanian confederation of trade unions (LPSK) is urging the government to reform income tax rates in order to lower taxes for people with low salaries. (Ref. 061098)

The confederation of trade unions proposes that the income below the average salary be taxed at 20 per cent. All income above the average salary would remain taxed at 27 per cent, the current rate.
