An August 11 decree officially sets the social elections to November 12, 2008. They will lead to the nomination of new staff representatives with remit in terms of information and consultation. They will also draw the conclusions from the single status adopted in April (see our article No. 080130). (Ref. 080620)
These elections, which take place every five years between October and November, enable to appoint staff representatives, mandatory in businesses with at least 15 employees, and representatives to corporate joint committees, established when there are more than 150 employees. At the national level, they are also used to appoint representatives to employees’ trade chambers.
