Netherlands : the two main trade union federations reject the new «on-line » trade union, accused of selling off workers’ interests

The two biggest Dutch trade union federations have decided to exclude the trade union of executives, De Unie, from the negotiations over the new collective agreement in the light metal sector. The FNV and the CNV accuse De Unie of accepting a deterioration of working conditions. Meanwhile, trade union enrolment is constantly sinking. (Ref. 061028)

The FNV (1.1 million members) and the CNV (347,000) have demanded the eviction of the trade union of executives, De Unie (97,000 members) from the opening negotiations over the collective agreement in the light metal industry.
