Germany/ Audi plans job cuts at management level. Bram Scot, chief of automobile constructor Audi, is faced with the following dilemma: the investment required to make the company’s range of vehicles electric is rising, while the profitability of the firm is being squeezed. It therefore did not come as much of a surprise when on Wednesday 20 February, in the German daily newspaper Handelsblatt, the Dutchman announced an upcoming savings plan, which aims to save €15 billion between now and 2022.
