Poland: a new law on the European Cooperative Society

A law on the European Cooperative society (ECS) is waiting for the President's approval and publication in the official journal. It contains the necessary amendments of the Council Regulation no 1435/2003 on the Statute for a ECS and implementation of Council Directive 2003/72 supplementing the Statute for a ECS with regard to the involvement of employees. The European Cooperative Society is similar to the cooperatives which have already existed in Poland (as far as registration procedures and transformations are concerned).
