Poland: cooperation agreement between “Solidarity” and the Belarus free trade union

"Solidarity" and the free Belarus trade union BKDZZ ("Congress of Belarus Democratic Trade unions) have just signed a cooperation agreement. The idea is to facilitate the exchange of information but it is already planned to work, afterwards, on the defence of trade-union rights in the former Soviet republic. The latter is targeted by many international organizations because of the repeated violations of trade union rights and trade-union freedom by the Belarus government. (Ref. 070056)

“Initially, we will proceed to exchanges of information and training methods “explains Janusz Sniadek, the President of “Solidarity”.
