Poland's monthly minimum wage for 2015 has been set at 1750 PLN gross (≈ 415 EUR), although during the first year of employment this level can be lower but no less than 1400 PLN (≈ 330 EUR) gross, as it cannot be less than 80 % of the minimum wage. The increase in the minimum wage does not impact employment contracts. Increases in the level are enacted in law and apply universally.
The 2015 minimum wage represents a significant real increase since Poland is currently experiencing deflation of approximately 0.6%. Some 17% of Poland’s labor force receives the minimum wage. After contributions (social security, national health and taxation) they will receive slightly under 1300 PLN (300 EUR) per month.
