Poland: new management methods, new productivity

The role of western firms. In many cases, foreign companies set up in Poland are at the origin of this boost in productivity due to increased motivation of workers, new technologies and new methods of company management. Ten years ago human resources management was non-existent in Polish firms. French companies were first to “export” them. “Supervisory staff and young engineers have adopted new work methods, learning to work differently. Now high productivity of Polish labour also contributes to the presence of big international groups in the country”, observes the French Nail, RSQ Management.This opinion is widely shared by many foreign firms: “ We quickly discovered that young Polish workers are not only extraordinarily dynamic, they also have an excellent level of professional training”, asserts Luc Callebat, President, Lafarge Cement SA in Poland, adding “ they are the pillars of success on which we have grafted our work and management methods”.
