Poland: telecommunications operator TP SA concludes a social pact

The management of Telekomunikacja Polska SA (TP SA) - a company of the France Telecom group - and trade unions of the company, finalised the negotiations on a new social pact for the three next years (2007-2009). The agreement deals with : voluntary departures, evolution of wages and the anticipated management of manpower. (Ref. 061253)

The pact concluded between management and the company’s trade unions provides for a reduction of manpower for the three next years. However, according to management, forced dismissals are excluded and the reduction of manpower will take place by voluntary departures (5 700 maximum). Moreover, the agreement provides for :

  • Wage increases which, in 2007, will amount to 3% of the wage bill.
  • Professional mobility as a principal means of recruitment.
