The research carried out back in 2005 in Poland showed that flexible forms or work organization are applied very rarely and telework is performed mainly by persons employed on a different basis than a labour contract. It is expected then that introducing explicit provisions concerning telework will encourage both employers and employees to undertake this form of work. This amendment is largely based on the agreement concluded by national social partners in June 2005 and supposed to implement the European Framework Agreement on Telework signed in 2002.
