Renault-Spain: trade unions ask authorities to help the subcontractors affected by the crisis of the manufacturer

Whereas management of Renault-Spain is negotiating with trade unions a job-cutting plan in the factories of Palencia and Valladolid (see stories n° 061152 and 061221), the metalworkers federations of the UGT and CCOO are mobilized to obtain that authorities help the subcontractors to overcome the difficulties linked to the crisis of the car manufacturer. According to trade unions, the restructuring plans could affect some 1700 industrial jobs in the area of Valladolid. (Ref. 070048)
