Spain: BBVA backing hybrid and flex office working

Since 01 September, Spanish bank BBVA has been organizing the gradual return of its employees to its central services premises, via a mix of physical in-office and remote working. Employees are required to spend 60% of their monthly working time physically in the office and 40% of their time working remotely. Formerly fixed workstation allocations have been replaced by a dynamic spatial use approach thanks to the implementation of a shared office reservation tool. This new way of working is currently  a temporary phenomenon, but it is in line with the work flexibility that BBVA has been developing for several years.

Starting 01 September, the bank is adopting a new modus operandi for its central services.
