In preparation for the gradual resumption of business in the metals sector, which began on 13 April, social partners in the industry – Confemetal on the employer side and CCOO-Industria and UGT-FICA on the trade union side – have drawn up a document that builds upon the guidelines recommended by the health ministry and which has already served as a basis for similar guides in the construction and automobile sectors (see article n°11835).
In its statement, the employer organisation Confemetal says: “It is very important for companies to be aware of what this gradual reopening may entail in terms of responsibilities, and it is therefore absolutely necessary for them to follow the indications and recommendations of public authorities, in particular the health authorities, as this must be done in optimum health and safety conditions.” The body also underlines that “Covid-19 at work is considered a workplace accident”, adding...
