Spain: two awaited texts on road transport published

The royal decree which transposes the 2002/15 directive on the organization of working time of people performing mobile activities in road transport activities was published in the July 18 official bulletin. In addition to setting a limit on working time, the decree aims at encouraging negotiation by enabling social partners to derogate from certain rules. The royal decree which transposes the 2003/59 directive on the training of the drivers of certain vehicles devoted to merchandise or passenger transport, which strengthens the requirements of the drivers' initial and continuous training, was published in the August 2 official bulletin.
