On April 25, 2013, the EFA (Energiföretagens Arbetsgivareförening) energy employers’ organization and the SEKO communication and service workers’ union signed a new agreement. It provides for a 5.8% wage increase over three years and promotes gradual retirement for employees aged 62 and more. The agreement applies to businesses operating in the energy industry (EON, Vattenfall, Eltel networks and Fortum), whether they are involved in production or supply, and to electricians and technicians. 5.8% wage increase over 3 years. The agreement will run between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2016. The wage increase will come into force every year on April 1 and the reference salary taken into account to calculate the increase will be that received on March 31.
The increase is divided as follows: 1.8% the first year and 2% the second and third years. The lowest wages will be subject to the same increase. Minimum wage will be as follows:
