On September 4, 2014, the partners in the real estate sector agreed on a program of student cooperation: “studentmedarbetareavtal”. This initiative originates from Denmark where for a long time now, students have the right to work between 10 and 15 hours per week in jobs related to their field of study. The real estate sector follows moves by the public sector. Other sectors that are also facing recruitment issues may well do the same.
Real estate follows the public sector. Up until now apprenticeships were covered by “lärlingsavtal” agreements struck between unions and businesses. These agreements do not include students.
