Switzerland: FAIRLOG, a new trade union platform in transport and logistics
During December 2017, the SEV, syndicom and Unia unions, all of which are wholly or partly involved with the transport and logistics sectors, established the FAIRLOG alliance as a way of better representing employees in the transport and logistics arenas who have suffered somewhat from current transformations such as digitalization and rising international competition. However two transport partners, Astag (road transport employers' body) and 'Les routiers suisses' (the LRS road transport trade union) see the move as nothing less than 'ill-meaning interference' by power hungry competing unions.
