The European social partners evaluate the implementation of the agreement on telework

The European framework agreement on telework, signed in July 2002, is the first agreement negotiated by European social partners which has not been transformed into a directive. The latter preferred to refer to national social partners, and not governments, to implement this agreement. Four years after, employers and European trade unions have conducted an evaluation of its application. (Réf. 06714)

The European agreement itself provided for an evaluation within 3 years. With more than one year of delay, the signatory social partners (Unice, ETUC, CEEP, UEAPME) are about to adopt a report on this implementation. The text must then be finalized, in order to be adopted during a forthcoming meeting.
