The Turkish government has recently promulgated a series of rules to promote flexible working time in the tourism sector. The changes also look to bolster employers’ right of appeal, when they are accused by the labour inspectorate of abuses in their use of sub-contracted workers.
On 25 August, Turkey’s official journal published three new rules geared towards increasing work flexibility. The first rule broadens the access – and relevant timeframe – to appeal procedures, for employers that are accused by the labour inspectorate of having made abusive use of workers from sub-contracting firms.
