On 4 December, UK Home Secretary James Cleverly announced to Parliament that the rules for obtaining a skilled worker visa would be tightened. The minimum wage required will rise from £26,200 to £38,700 (€30,555 and €45,143 respectively) from next spring, which is the median wage for this type of job. These measures do not affect healthcare workers, whose access to visas has been extended in order to alleviate the labour shortage in the sector and support the UK’s National Health Service....
