United States: AFL-CIO gives Barack Obama conditional and fringe support

After major AFL-CIO members such as the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME), the Communication Workers of America (CWA), the United Steelworkers (USW), the Service Employees International Unions (SEIU) or the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), affiliated with the Change to Win Federation, endorsed the outgoing President, it came as no surprise that the AFL-CIO’s announced, on March 13, its support to Barack Obama through the current campaign.
