The rights of LGBT workers are protected in the workplace under the US Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination. Thus the landmark decision handed down by the majority of the Supreme Court on 15 June.
The 15 June decision was surprising because the 4 judges known for their progressive ideas could not have won this case without the backing of two highly conservative colleagues namely Judges Neil Gorsuch and John Roberts.
