VolkerWessels: signature of an international framework agreement on workers’ rights

The Dutch company of construction and related activities, VolkerWessels and the International union of building and wood workers (IBB) signed, last 22 January, a framework open-ended agreement, concerning the promotion and the protection of workers' rights. (Ref. 070083)

In reference to fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the company is notably committed to :

  • ensure the equal treatment and the non-discrimination of workers, equal pay and to guarantee the same working conditions for migrant and posted workers than for national workers;
  • respect the right of association, trade-union freedoms, the freedom of collective bargaining and to guarantee the non-discrimination of workers’ representatives;
  • respect the legal and convention
