After months of discussions, the French retailer Orchestra-Premaman finally signed a deal in December 2016 to buy U.S. rival Destination Maternity, which is valued about US$100 million. The deal should be closed before June 2017. One year ago, Orchestra took a 13.3% stake in Destination Maternity and urged
the New Jersey-based chain to start takeover talks. Destination shareholders will own 28% of the future venture and those of Orchestra will have 72%.
