On November 19 the technology leader Adobe (2024 revenue: US$21.5 billion, up by 11% at constant rates) announced the acquisition of SaaS platform Semrush (2024 revenue: US$376.8 million, up by 22%), a specialist in online visibility (SEO, GEO) in a US$1.9-billion deal. As a content-creation and digital-marketing platform (analytics, personalisation) Adobe wants to use this acquisition to help companies optimise visibility not only on traditional search engines but also on generative-AI engines
