On January 3, 2025, Regis Pennel, former CEO of L’Exception (now Head of E-Commerce at Galeries Lafayette) announced the acquisition of the fashion e-commerce platform by Hong Kong-based investment fund AA Investments.

Founded in 2011, L’Exception (€9.3 million turnover in 2023 for 12 staff) gradually phased out physical outlets (Forum des Halles, Paris 10e) to focus on an e-commerce site and cutting costs. According to Régis Pennel, inflation, digital marketing and DTC sales are all factors...
