This was a formal denial prompted by an article published in the Sunday Times. In February 2018, the Chinese fashion conglomerate Shandong Ruyi (owner of high-end fashion brands such as Bally, Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot, Lycra and Cerruti 1881) and the Hong Kong based Trinity Group, denied being in talks with Arcadia Group. Arcadia operates an array of retail brands such as Topshop, Topman, Burton, Miss Selfridge and Evans.
