Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius and Ethiopia are proving that sub- Saharan Africa has the capability to
produce export quality clothing for a global market. “Saying that Africa will be the next China is not accurate”, said the International Apparel Federation. “We are not talking about a replacement but an alternative. I am convinced that Africa’s clothing and textile industry will grow significantly”.
