Thai conglomerate Central Retail Corp is to create a new wholesale chain. With 43 new stores planned in the next 5 year, the country's largest retailer is focusing on wholesale sales, which are due to drive 30% of revenue.

On 14th September, Central Food Wholesale, a subsidiary of leading Thai food retailer Central Retail Corp (sales of US$1.6 billion in Q2 2023, up by 5.6%), announced the launch of “Go Wholesale”: members-only food wholesale stores modelled on Metro AG or Costco.
