According to the latest report from National Bureau of Statistics, the average disposable income per capita in China’s rural region increased by 8.6% year-on-year to US$2,066 per year, while consumption per capita also climbed 8.1% year-on-year to US$1,684. Approximately 50% of China’s 1.3 billion population live in rural areas.
