Following an alleged breach of professional code of conduct, Mike Shearwood has resigned as C.E.O. of the British footwear retailer. An investigation is considering accusations of inappropriate behaviour, conduct, conversations and expressions in breach of ethical standards. Clarks declined to comment on the nature of the allegations made against Sherwood. Appointed in 2016, he was previously heading management posts at Karen Millen, Oasis, Coast and Warehouse.
