Danish retailer Normal expands in Europe and records exceptional visitor numbers

In August 2019, the low-cost drugstore retailer made inroads in France with 3 stores covering 300 sq.m GLA, located near Paris. The Passage Du Havre unit (a mall owned by Hammerson and by AXA IM Real Estate) acts as a flagship but Jesper Elming, Expansion Director told Global Retail News that the retailer is primarily looking for “stores of 300 to 350 sq.m of selling area plus 80 to 100 sq.m of storage, in locations with high footfall in both malls and highstreets locations”.
