In August 2017, Decathlon (sales of €10 billion in 2016, up by 12%) opened simultaneously two stores in Hong Kong in Grand Plaza, Mong Kok and in Causeway Bay (HK Island). In 2016, China becameDecathlon’s 2nd largest market by number of stores, with 214 units, including 51 new stores opened in 2016. Following a foray into Israel in September 2017 (3,000 sq.m in the Gone centre by Gazit Globes in Rishon LeZion near Tel Aviv), Decathlon will also launch in Australia in October.
