Having made inroads in Ivory Coast and Senegal, Decathlon (sales of €10 billion in 2016, +12%) opened a first Ghanaian store in April 2017. Located at the Junction Shopping Mall in Accra, the sales area covers 1,245 sq.m. The Group said that it aims to manufacture local products in future. In late 2016, Decathlon ran only 7 stores in Africa (6 in Morocco and 1 in Ivory Coast) compared to 272 stores in Asia.
