Mind Retail made a special ranking of retailers’ turnover in the last fiscal year. This ranking does not include Aldi, which has not published its financial results yet. In 2019, the last available data, the annual revenue of Aldi reached US$116.1 billion.

Here is the methodology : Revenue growth is shown in local currency (RMB for Alibaba and JD, Euros for Carrefour). For Amazon, sales include only retail revenue (they exclude AWS and marketing services). For JD.com, the revenues indicated are those of JD Retail. Costco’s and Ikea’s financial years end in August, and Alibaba’s in March. Therefore, Alibaba’s 2020 turnover relates to the financial year ending in March 2020.
