In the USA, drugstore specialist Walgreens Boots Alliance is freezing a program of new automated warehouses dedicated to preparation of Web orders, with 11 active units to date. That is 50% of the number announced 18 months ago.

With 78% of the U.S. population living within 8 kilometers of a Walgreens drugstore, the Walgreens Boots Alliance is adjusting an online ordering strategy. After opening 11 automated logistics hubs dedicated to drug deliveries in 3 years, WBA has announced a suspension of this expansion. 18 months ago, the firm announced 22 units and now has 50% of what was expected.
