This quantified the “attractiveness” of a city, and thus the likelihood of quality retail locations, largely determined by so-called “soft” factors. Tourist sites, quality of leisure activities and a high share of creative professions are key determinants for retailer success. They support fundamental factors of a robust economy and good demographics.
