By the end of 2017, the world’s largest home furnishing retailer Ikea will inaugurate its 1st Indian store in Hyderabad (in Telangana State, created in 2014 from Andhra Pradesh) and a few months later in Navi Mumbai (in Maharashtra State). To promote brand and sales awareness before a full store launch, Ikea will launch a pop-up store format called “Hej Homes” in cities prior to full-range stores. A typical pop-up store will be located in malls, selling up to 650 sq.m with a cafe.
